What to expect

The 41-kilometre climb from the southern coast at Granadilla to the Teide cable-car station is one of the most respected ascents in cycling, regularly used by professional teams for winter training. Guided e-bike day-trips make it accessible to ambitious amateurs: pickup at your hotel, e-bike fitting, support van for the whole climb, and a transfer back. Total ascent is 2,300 metres over 41 km. Lunch at a high-altitude pensión, descent through Vilaflor and pine forest. The most physical day in this guide, and one of the most rewarding.
