The 600-metre saltwater infinity pool at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora is the headline, and rightly so — it stretches along the entire ocean-facing facade and merges with the Atlantic at sunset. The 608-key resort is large but cleverly zoned: the RedLevel adults-only section feels like a separate boutique, with private check-in, a dedicated pool, and elevated dining. Six restaurants cover Mediterranean, Italian, Asian and Spanish; the most memorable is La Cúpula, set inside a glass dome over the lagoon. The location in Alcalá puts you closer to the wild west coast and Los Gigantes than the resort strip, which suits travellers who want excursions over shopping.
