Tenerife Airport Guide — TFS vs TFN
Tenerife has two airports: Tenerife South (TFS / Reina Sofía) and Tenerife North (TFN / Los Rodeos). Which one you fly into materially changes your journey time and rental cost.
TFN — Tenerife North
Mainly Iberia and Vueling inter-island and mainland flights. 30 mins to Puerto de la Cruz, 15 to La Laguna and Santa Cruz, 75 to Costa Adeje. Smaller and quieter; useful if you're staying north.
Transfers
Private transfer ~€55 south to south coast hotel, ~€120 south to north. Public bus #111 from TFS to Los Cristianos €4. Rental car from €25/day off-peak; book online weeks ahead in peak season.
